The Daily Sales Tracker is the most-used section of the Prepared Finance Book. Every single day, you record what you sold, how much you earned, and your running balance. It's the heartbeat of your business — and the foundation of everything else in the book.

Many business owners in Uganda sell goods every day but have no idea how much they actually made. Money comes in and goes out, and by the end of the week, there's nothing left — and no explanation for where it went. The Daily Sales Tracker solves this by creating a clear, daily record of every shilling earned.

What You Record

Each day's page includes the following structure:

Date — Today's date at the top of the page
Opening Balance — The cash you're starting the day with
Item / Product Name — What you sold (e.g., Tomatoes, Airtime, Clothes)
Price per Item — The selling price per unit
Tally (Quantity) — How many units you sold (using simple tally marks)
Total — Price × Quantity for each item
Total Day Sales — The grand total of all sales for the day

The book provides space for up to 55 item rows per day, so even busy shops with many products can track everything on a single page.

The Daily Summary

At the bottom of each day's page, there's a built-in Daily Summary section that calculates:

Opening Balance — Starting cash
Total Day Sales — Everything you earned today
Total Day Expenses — Everything you spent today
Day Profit — Sales minus expenses
Closing Balance — How much cash you end the day with

This closing balance becomes tomorrow's opening balance — creating a continuous money trail that never breaks.
