Call For Partnerships: Let’s Turn Financial Literacy Into Financial Practice
Partner with Prepared Finance to equip entrepreneurs in Uganda with practical bookkeeping tools for financial literacy, business record keeping and SME development.
Prepared Finance invites NGOs, development partners, government institutions, financial-literacy organisations and entrepreneurship programmes to partner with us in helping small business owners build better financial habits.
Knowledge Alone Is Not Enough
Across Uganda, thousands of entrepreneurs participate in financial-literacy training, business development programmes, entrepreneurship workshops and livelihood initiatives. They learn about budgeting, saving, managing expenses, monitoring stock and making better business decisions.
But what happens when the training ends?
Many entrepreneurs return to their businesses without a simple, practical system for applying what they have learned. Sales go unrecorded. Business expenses are forgotten. Stock is difficult to monitor. Business and personal money become mixed, making it harder to understand whether a business is actually making a profit.
Financial literacy teaches people what they should do. Financial practice helps them actually do it.
At Prepared Finance, we believe that one practical step towards strengthening small businesses is helping entrepreneurs develop the habit of recording and reviewing their daily business activities.
Introducing the Prepared Business Finance Book
The Prepared Business Finance Book is a simple, physical bookkeeping tool designed for small business owners, particularly those who do not use computers or accounting software to manage their businesses.
Using only a book and a pen, entrepreneurs can record and monitor their:
Daily sales and business expenses.
Stock movements and reorder needs.
Loans, credit and repayments.
Business goals and financial targets.
Monthly performance and progress.
The book is designed to make business record keeping more accessible, practical and consistent.
A Partnership Opportunity for Organisations Supporting Entrepreneurs
We recognise that many organisations are already doing important work in entrepreneurship development, financial literacy, youth employment, women's economic empowerment, refugee livelihoods, SME development and community empowerment.
Prepared Finance seeks to complement these efforts, not replace them.
We invite organisations to explore incorporating the Prepared Business Finance Book into their existing or upcoming programmes as a practical companion to training, mentorship and business support.
Through this approach, programme participants can use the book to apply financial-management lessons directly within their businesses, while trainers and mentors can encourage consistent record keeping and business-performance reviews.
The approach is simple:
TRAIN → RECORD → PRACTISE → REVIEW → IMPROVE
Who Are We Looking to Partner With?
We welcome conversations with:
NGOs and development partners implementing entrepreneurship, livelihoods and economic-empowerment programmes.
Government institutions supporting MSMEs, business formalisation and enterprise development.
Financial-literacy organisations seeking practical tools for beneficiaries.
Entrepreneurship incubators and accelerators supporting startups and emerging entrepreneurs.
SACCOs and community finance institutions working with small business owners.
Youth and women's empowerment programmes helping beneficiaries establish or grow income-generating activities.
Vocational and business training institutions that want learners to practise business financial management.
Whether your organisation supports 50, 100, 500 or thousands of entrepreneurs, we would welcome the opportunity to explore a suitable partnership.
What Could a Partnership Look Like?
Partnerships may include bulk provision of books to programme participants, integration into entrepreneurship training, pilot projects with selected groups of business owners, distribution through community-based programmes, and collaboration with institutions seeking to strengthen financial discipline among the entrepreneurs they support.
We are open to discussing practical arrangements that align with each partner's objectives, programme structure and available resources.
An Invitation to Work Together
We believe that stronger businesses begin with better habits. When entrepreneurs consistently record their transactions, monitor their stock, track their expenses and review their performance, they have a better foundation for making informed business decisions.
No single organisation can address every challenge facing small businesses. But through partnerships, we can make practical financial-management tools accessible to more entrepreneurs.
Let us work together to move financial literacy beyond the training room and into the daily lives of small business owners.
If your organisation supports entrepreneurs and would like to explore a partnership with Prepared Finance, we would be pleased to hear from you.
